Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başak Şit İmamoğlu graduated from Mehmet Emin Resulzade Anatolian High School in 1998 and completed her undergraduate legal education at Ankara University Faculty of Law in 2002.
She received her LL.M. from the Department of Commercial Law at Ankara University Faculty of Law in 2004, with a thesis titled “The Seller’s Obligation to Insure Goods in CIF Sales,” and her Ph.D. in 2010, with a thesis titled “The Concept of Bank Credit in Turkish Law and Its Legal Consequences.”
She was a visiting researcher at the Faculty of Law of the Freie Universität Berlin in 2007–2008.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şit İmamoğlu has been a member of the Department of Commercial Law at Ankara University Faculty of Law since 2005 and has held the title of Associate Professor since 2020.
She is fluent in English and proficient in German.
